Step by Step

Well, Ms. Curlie hasn't taken off on her own yet, but she does take a few steps now and then. She just thinks crawling is much easier and faster. She is also talking more and more...she loves to point and try and repeat words. She is even understanding a lot of Spanish with Wil, which is so cute.

Wil is heading off to Brazil again in October. I am excited for him, but just wish I could go, too. He usually translates all day on these trips, so it's all work and no play. I'm not even sure if he is even going to be able to schedule in some sightseeing this time.

I have been loving the beautiful weather recently...so we are trying to take advantage of it all we can. I bet Elisa will wait to walk when it's snowing and then can't run outdoors much.

I have an official start to my freelancing, after months (and a few months of just waiting), I got my first article published locally. It is in KC Baby's fall issue. It's just local, but it's a start. I am starting to learn how political this whole writing freelance is, and it's pretty time consuming with a toddler at your feet, but with the Lord's help, it may take a while, but I'll get there...

P.S. for all those curious, Mr. Noname finally has a name...Fernando Andres!

New little cousin

Elisa now has a new little cousin. Mr. Noname (his parents haven't decided on his name yet!) was born on September 1. Congrats to Aunt Wendy and Uncle Ramon! This makes grandchild number 2 for the Castillo's.

Now we are itching even more to get to El Salvador.

Elisa is talking up a storm. Here's her list of words: Papi (first spanish word!), bye-bye, ma ma, dog, woof woof, & dah dah (when she is speaking english).
