The countdown is on!
Well, I am now going to my weekly doctor visits. First one was this week and the doc says I am progressing, which is not normal for a first pregnancy. Wow! Well, I have been talking to Miss Bambina about coming early if she wants (now that she is considered "safe.")...so maybe she will...
Daddy Wil says it has to be after the World Cup is over on July 9. Fine with me, still would make her about a week early. The nursery is finally coming along and it really looks like a baby's room. I love to walk in there and just imagine her waking up from a nap or to see her peacefully sleeping in her crib. I know those moments will come soon.
We've gone to all of our classes, birthing, parenting, breastfeeding ... so I feel really prepared. It also helps spending all day taking care of babies. Daddy Wil has even practiced changing a few "fake" diapers in class and learning all he can to comfort his little one. He's going to be such a wonderful dad.
IMMIGRATION
I had to mention that Wil and I had our immigration interview this week for Wil's permanent residency. He should have his "green card" in just a few weeks. What the government really calls this is a permanent resident alien. I find the term hilarious, so Wil is my permanent alien. Just as long as the baby doesn't come out green! The interview went really well. After spending quite a bit of time gathering the required paperwork, the "officer" wanted to know more details about the baby, how we met, etc. She looked at every single picture from our wedding album. It wasn't quite the interview we expected. But we could tell that she was asking key questions to make sure we were a legitimate couple. Wil and I thought just looking at my tummy would do the trick!
